Terms of use
Effective: September 20, 2026
TimerRoom lets hosts and participants share timer state. These terms describe use of the service and operational changes.
Common terms and feature-specific information
These terms set out common principles for TimerRoom. Current feature information describes capabilities, supported environments, limits and pricing. New or improved features may have their own guidance or additional conditions where needed.
Where additional conditions affect rights or obligations, their scope and content will be explained before use, with consent where required. Feature guidance cannot arbitrarily reduce rights under these terms or applicable law. Any conflicting conditions will be accompanied by a clear explanation of which applies.
Service scope and conditions
The current core timer is free and requires no account. If account, storage, synchronization, collaboration or paid features are introduced, their scope and conditions will be explained separately. Features, supported environments, capacity and limits are described in the service and its guidance. We do not promise permanent availability of a feature, identical behavior on every device or uninterrupted service.
Optional paid features or advertising may be introduced. Prices and conditions for paid features will be presented before you choose them. Existing free use alone will not result in charges. Changes to personal data processing follow the privacy notice and applicable legal requirements.
Links and content
Anyone with a participant link can view the timer and shared messages. A host link includes control rights. Keep the links separate when sharing. This is not a private meeting service with individual member authentication.
Do not enter sensitive personal data, material that infringes others' rights or information you are not entitled to disclose. You retain rights to your content. We process it only as needed to deliver and secure the service; these terms do not request a blanket right to reuse it for promotion.
Turn saving off or clear saved host access on shared devices. Lost links or deleted browser data can prevent access. Account-based identity checks and recovery are not guaranteed.
Restricted use and response
Unauthorized access or control, bulk room creation that evades limits, disruption, malicious code, unlawful content and infringement are not allowed. Reasonable automation within normal usage limits is not categorically prohibited.
Where there are indications of abuse, intrusion or disruption, we may take necessary measures such as request limits, connection blocking or room closure. Where possible, we explain the reason and how to contact us. Urgent security measures may precede notice. You may contact us to challenge a restriction.
Timing, sound and storage limitations
Network delay, browser or operating-system policies, screen locking, sleep and volume settings may delay or prevent displays and sounds. The service is not provided for safety, medical or emergency response, legal evidence or precision measurement. Use independent timing and alerts for important events.
Rooms and saved browser access expire or are deleted under the conditions shown in the service and privacy notice. Permanent storage and recovery after deletion are not provided. Close the room after use and keep any necessary records separately.
Changes, maintenance and closure
We may adjust features or limits or temporarily suspend service for security, outages, costs and resources, provider changes, legal requirements or improvements. Changes will be reasonable in scope, considering their need and impact on users.
For material changes affecting ongoing use or planned service closure, we will give advance in-service notice where possible, explaining the reason, impact and timing. Urgent incidents may require later notice. Shorter retention periods will be accompanied by an explanation of the effect on existing data and an opportunity to organize it, unless law or urgent security needs require otherwise.
Responsibility and external services
We take reasonable steps to investigate and respond to service and security issues. Responsibility for losses arising from communications or device problems outside our responsibility, force majeure or user disclosure of access links may be limited under applicable law.
These terms do not exclude liability for intentional misconduct, gross negligence or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Liability and damages depend on fault, causation and applicable law. Free service does not mean exclusion of all responsibility.
External websites, extensions and advertising links have their own conditions. A link alone is not a guarantee of their quality or transactions. Our legal responsibility for our own actions remains.
Changes to terms and disputes
Changes to these terms will identify the reason, main changes and effective date. Materially adverse changes will be announced with reasonable time for review, and separate consent will be obtained where legally required. Editing this page or a user's silence does not replace required consent.
If you disagree, you may stop using the service and delete rooms and saved access. Accrued rights and mandatory legal rights remain unaffected. If a provision is invalid, the remainder continues where possible.
Please contact us first to try to resolve a dispute. Unresolved disputes follow the procedures and jurisdiction required by applicable law. Mandatory protections for users in other countries are not excluded.
